Norevale was founded in 2020 with 100 acres and one client
Within six months, the farm was full. There was nowhere to put the horses that were coming in. Owners Leo and Sarah Dooley had a choice to make: stay put, or grow.
They grew. A 170-acre property opened up directly across the road. Then Sarah’s family farm, Marula Park Stud, became available as her parents retired. Three farms, all adjacent, all running as one operation. In 2024, a sales consignment was added, allowing the Dooleys to showcase the stock so meticulously raised under their own banner.
The operation has grown. But the standards haven't changed. Leo still sees and handles every horse on the farm, every single day.
Leo's career in the Thoroughbred business spans three countries and some of the most respected operations in the sport. He rode out for legendary Irish trainer Jim Bolger and spent four years across Ballylinch Stud's breeding, yearling, and breaking divisions—attending all major European sales—before prepping yearlings at Ecurie des Monceaux in France. He was mentored by the late Gerry Dilger at Dromoland Farm in Kentucky before spending four years at Hunter Valley Farm in Versailles and two as Broodmare Manager at Indian Creek Farm in Paris, Kentucky. He holds an Equine Science degree from University College Dublin.

Sarah grew up in the Thoroughbred industry. Her parents ran Marula Park Stud, and some of her earliest memories are of trailing her father through the Keeneland November sales—an education that started long before any course or credential.
A Transylvania University graduate and alumna of the Irish National Stud course and Godolphin Flying Start programme, Sarah has worked at Bluewater Sales, Hunter Valley Farm, and in Lane’s End’s bloodstock department.

We don't hide facts about our horses. We don't take deals that don't feel right. We price boarding close to cost because we make our living at the sales—and we want our clients to be able to afford to stay in the game.
It comes down to consistency: in the horses, in the decisions, in the way we talk to people.
our philosophy
The Norevale Name
Norevale takes its name from the River Nore in County Kilkenny, Ireland, where Leo grew up. The valley of the Nore runs through some of the most beautiful countryside in the south of Ireland, past the village of Inistioge and its ten-arch stone bridge, built in 1763.
It felt like the right name for a farm built on where you come from and what you carry with you.
